News Editor to Serve As Charity Bingo Caller

Cambs Times News Editor John Elworthy's famous wit and boyish charm have made him the spectacle of an event where a host of civic dignitaries are lining up to hear and see.

On this particular situation, it will be his skill and charm as a bingo caller that the contingent of VIP's from Fenland and Cambridgeshire had come to hear about.

News Editor John Elworthy, who is very well known for his miscellaneous activities in the bingo halls of East Anglia, is the organizer for the charity bingo, entitled "Bingos and Bangers" night which aims to help the Mayor of March's yearly charity event. On the past, he had helped raise UK Pounds 530 pounds for the annual charity campaign of the mayor of march.

According to John Elworthy, the event was sort of a random thing. He arrived in the location of the event complete with an RNG (random number generator and holding a wad of tickets which he sold to the guests of the Mayor of March.

He also added that he was duly amazed that the guests who usually are more comfortable attending places which shows their power, had a genuine liking for bingo. A visiting mayor even confessed that he had met his wife of 40 years in a seaside bingo hall in Great Yarmouth.

The event was not all smooth sailing however because a few of the guests have not yet the opportunity to play bingo not even once and some of them have already forgotten the rules so John Elworthy has to guide them and explain to them the rules.
